History

Above the heat of the central valley, yet below the cold of the Sierra Nevadas, Copper Valley’s golf course has been winning the affection of golfers across California since its 1996 debut. The course’s creative routing, excellent conditioning and beautiful views are three of the main factors that make Copper Valley so wonderful. Ranked as one of the top golf courses in Northern California, golfers can play championship golf for under $100. The bent grass greens consistently roll at an 11 on the stimpmeter, and work well with its wider-than-average fairways, catering to strong ball strikers and allowing approach shots to be made from a variety of angles. Most of the trouble is off the tee, even with very little out-of-bounds, there are several forced carries over water and trouble beyond the first cut of rough. The routing has each nine leaving the clubhouse in an “out-and-back” fashion, yet no two holes run parallel to one another. In doing so, the course’s architects take golfers on a journey to each of the most interesting pieces of Saddle Creek’s property. Then there’s the views! Golfers can enjoy views of the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountain range, in addition to the beautiful meadows and rolling hills that Copper Valley’s golf course calls home. Learn more
