History

There is nothing symbolic when aficionados call Chimera Golf Club in Henderson, Nevada a "desert oasis." Set against the starkly beautiful and light-filled southern Nevada mountains, Chimera's gorgeously kept fairways and greens are rimmed by plentiful water, palm and mesquite trees, and drop-dead views ranging from the nearby Las Vegas skyline to stately Mt. Holes 9 and 18 draw consistent raves as dazzling and sometimes dizzying par-4 challenges that stretch 400+ yards, with water, bunkers and tricky greens menacing you all the way. Just 20 minutes from the Las Vegas strip, Tuscany offers a classy but less costly alternative to Vegas courses, leaving visitors more flush to pursue the many other entertainment options they presumably want to include on a tourist weekend.
