History
Re-designed by renowned architect Forrest Richardson, Baylands offers Bay Area residents a chance to experience links-style golf in the form of firm and fast playing conditions, with swaths of short grass around greens that forces golfers to decide if they want to play their ball in the air, or use the contours of the ground. Originally founded in 1956, the Baylands is operated by the City of Palo Alto as part of its Baylands Nature Preserve District, adjacent to the coastal land bordering Palo Alto along the San Francisco Bay. The San Fransisquito Creek, a historic waterway, runs along the course and is a major flood conveyance stream. Learn more
